We like to select fast growing, masculine bucks that have a foundation of strength on their maternal side. They usually come from old dams that have remained as the cornerstone of a breeder’s herd for several years. The bucks must be masculine in appearance and we like to see evidence of “buckiness” at an early age – ie. marking themselves and vying for the does attention. We also believe that larger scrotal circumference will influence fertility in the resulting female offspring.  Naturally, we also like to see lots of color in the goats - blacks, reds (kalaharis) and paints.
